Surface treatment process of valve material(2)

6. Printing with hydro transfer

By applying water pressure to the transfer paper, it is possible to print a color pattern on the surface of a three-dimensional object. Water transfer printing is being used more and more frequently as consumer demands for product packaging and surface decorating increase.

Materials that apply:

Water transfer printing can be done on any hard surface, and any material that can be sprayed must also work for this type of printing. Metal parts and injection-molded parts are the most popular.

Process cost: There is no mold cost, but fixtures must be used to water-transfer many goods at once. The time cost per cycle is typically around ten minutes.

Environmental impact: Water transfer printing more thoroughly applies printing paint than product spraying, which lowers the likelihood of waste leakage and material waste.

7. Using screens

The identical graphic as the original is created by extruding the scraper, which transfers the ink to the substrate through the mesh of the graphic component. Equipment for screen printing is straightforward, simple to use, simple to make printing plates on, inexpensive, and highly adaptable.

Color oil paintings, posters, business cards, bound books, commodities signs, and printed and dyed textiles are examples of common printed materials.

Materials that apply:

Almost any material, including paper, plastic, metal, ceramics, and glass, can be screen printed.

Cost of production: The mold is inexpensive, but the cost of producing plates separately for each color depends on the number of hues. Costs of labor are significant, particularly when printing in many colors.

Environmental impact: Screen printing inks with light colors have little effect on the environment, but those with formaldehyde and PVC must be recycled and disposed of promptly to prevent water pollution.

8. Anodic oxidation

The electrochemical principle underlies the anodic oxidation of aluminum, which creates a layer of Al2O3 (aluminum oxide) film on the surface of aluminum and aluminum alloy. The particular properties of this oxide film layer include wear resistance, ornamentation, protection, and insulation.

Materials that apply:

Aluminum, aluminum alloys, and various goods made of aluminum
Process price: Electricity and water are used extensively during the production process, particularly during the oxidation stage. The electricity consumption per ton is frequently about 1000 degrees, and the heat consumption of the machine itself needs to be continuously cooled by water circulation.

Environmental impact: Anodizing is not outstanding in terms of energy efficiency, while in the production of aluminum electrolysis, the anode effect also produces gases that have damaging side effects on the ozone layer of the atmosphere.
9. Steel Wire

In order to provide a decorative effect, it grinds the product to create lines on the surface of the workpiece. Straight wire drawing, chaotic wire drawing, corrugated, and swirling are the numerous types of textures that can be produced following wire drawing.

Materials that can be used: Almost any metal materials can be drawn using metal wire.

Process cost: The process is straightforward, the equipment is straightforward, very little material is consumed, the cost is moderate, and the economic advantage is substantial.

Impact on the environment: products made entirely of metal, without paint or other chemical coatings; withstands temperatures of 600 degrees; does not burn; does not emit hazardous fumes; complies with fire safety and environmental protection regulations.

10. In-mold embellishment

It is a molding process that involves inserting the pattern-printed diaphragm into a metal mold, injecting molding resin into the metal mold and joining the diaphragm, and then integrating and solidifying the pattern-printed diaphragm and the resin to create the finished product.

Plastic is a suitable material for this.

Process cost: By just opening a single set of molds, molding and decoration may be completed simultaneously while reducing costs and labor hours. This type of high-automatic production also simplifies the manufacturing process.

Environmental impact: By avoiding the pollution that traditional painting and electroplating produce, this technology is green and environmentally benign.
