Product Overview
The PE100 Branch Saddle is a specialized mechanical fitting engineered to create new branch connections on existing PE100 pipelines while they remain operational and under pressure. This “under-pressure tapping” process eliminates the need for costly and disruptive service shutdowns.
The assembly features a rugged two-piece PE100 saddle body that clamps securely around the main pipe, along with a long PE100 spigot outlet conforming to DIN standards. Once bolted in place, the saddle provides a stable and sealed platform for drilling equipment to cut an opening into the live pipeline.
After tapping, the spigot outlet enables a permanent, homogenous connection to the branch pipe via electrofusion or butt fusion, ensuring a high-integrity and leak-proof pipeline extension.
